And it's going really well!!! the not drinking thing is tough at the beginning but it gets easier.I have had a few nights with friends when I have drunk and it's been fine. I am actually enjoying not drinking all the time!

I weigh 10 st 4lb so a weight loss of 8lb so far! I know that's the easy bit, getting rid of the christmas weight, but it's very encouraging.

I have to confess, i haven't started the exersise part of the plan, but I am buying an exercise machine.

Had chips last night, so have had a grapefruit for breakfast.

Very excited about this plan. I must keep at it, at the moment it doesn't seem too hard, but we'll see.

Now time to start thinking about increasing my exersise . . .

Didn't bother with reductil today, I think it made me feel really spinny.

The reductil or lack of food has made me light headed. Whenever I feel a bit odd I tend to have something to eat. Mmm must break that habit. Can't say I don't feel hungry, but early days . . .

I am 38 this year and have two children aged 2 and 4. Unfortunately pregnancy has left me with excess weight and a huge belly. I have a condition called diastasis recti where the main muscels on your tummy separate and won't join back on their own. I have lived with this for 4 years now, and it makes me so unhappy. But not for much longer.

I have looked at amnioplasty and this may well be the final part of the plan. But I want to lose weight first.

From today I will not drink alcohol unless socialising with other people (not Husband) We drink every night at the moment and both feel it's getting out of hand.

This week I will begin a new exersise activity. I think it will be swimming for 30 minutes.

My weight today is . . . 10 st 12 lb. I have to say i am quite shocked by that. I have put on half a stone over christmas!! Strangely pleasing in a way though, to start on a unusualy high weight.

So far today I have had a bowl of cereal with a 1/4 of banana.

2 cups of tea.
